Member of the City Council for Sports and Youth, Tatjana Medved, attended the press conference on the occasion of the 48th International Youth Conference. Fru\u0161ka Gora Mountaineering Marathon, which will be held 26. and on April 27 on the slopes of Fru\u0161ka Gora. The event is organized by the Mountaineering and Skiing Association “\u017delezni\u010dar”, with the support of the City of Novi Sad. <\/p>\n
“47 years have passed since the first Fru\u0161ka Gora Marathon was held, and that is why this event occupies a special place on the map of sports events and is an event of special importance for the City of Novi Sad, because it promotes healthy lifestyles and values that empower us on the way to success. Many generations of citizens of Novi Sad and other visitors have visited the slopes of Fru\u0161ka Gora and thus become part of the history of the Fru\u0161ka Gora Marathon. Those who come for the first time, at the very beginning, testify to the justified popularity of this event among all lovers of sports, recreation and nature. That is why I am sure that this year’s Fru\u0161ka Gora Marathon will be a true pleasure for all participants and that after the race we will leave Fru\u0161ka Gora clean and preserved,” said Tatjana Medved, adding that the City of Novi Sad has allocated one million dinars from the budget for this event, and that it will continue to support. <\/p>\n
As it was said at the conference, the start of the marathon is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Mountain Lodge in Popovica. For the first day of the marathon, 14 trails have been prepared, of different lengths and different altitude differences. On Sunday, April 27, at 11:30 a.m., the start of the Children’s Mountaineering Marathon is planned for children of preschool and elementary school age. During the marathon, a restrictive traffic regime will be in force, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner, and transport of all participants from the bus station will be provided. <\/p>\n
The conference was also attended by the director of the Fru\u0161ka Gora Marathon, Nenad Sudarov, the assistant director of the Fru\u0161ka Gora National Park, Dragan Vidovic, and the president of the Mountaineering Association of Serbia, Iso Plani\u0107.
