According to the official statistical estimate, 71,881 young people aged 15 to 30 live in the territory of the City of Novi Sad, which makes 19.28% of the total population, and this number is further increased by the large number of students who come to Novi Sad from other areas. <\/p>\n

Starting from the need for a planned, responsible and long-term approach to improving the position of young people, the City of Novi Sad bases its youth policy on systemic support, adapted to the real needs of young people, while strengthening the cooperation of institutions, civil society organisations and all other relevant actors. This policy aims to improve the quality of life of young people, encourage their active participation in social life and create conditions for their personal, social and economic development. <\/p>\n

In accordance with the Local Action Plan for Youth Policy, special attention is focused on the development of youth work and non-formal education, the improvement of spatial capacities and services for young people, the strengthening of active participation of young people at all levels, support for the development of their potentials and competencies, as well as the creation of conditions for a safe, healthy and stimulating environment.<\/p>\n

Youth policy in Novi Sad is developed through partnership between the City, educational and scientific institutions, youth associations, youth associations, their associations and the youth themselves. An important role in this system is played by the City Administration for Sports and Youth – Youth Office, as well as numerous local actors who contribute to the creation, implementation and further improvement of youth policy. According to official data, there are 390 youth associations and youth associations on the territory of the City of Novi Sad, as well as 12 of their associations. <\/p>\n

As a city with strong university, cultural and social capacities, Novi Sad is continuously working to provide young people with accessible support mechanisms, space for initiative, participation in decision-making processes and opportunities for the full development of their abilities.
